The aim of Mystery People is the general promotion of crime fiction. We are particularly anxious to help new authors find an audience, but we also value and support established authors.
If you are an author with a book just published or to be published and would like support and help to arrange events to promote your book, please contact Lizzie at Mystery People.
The subscription charge of £25 is to support us and cover the publicity to advertise events, i.e. printing and postage.
As a member you will also receive a monthly e-zine, which will include news, articles, interviews and reviews.

Who are we?
UK-based Mystery People, set up in February 2012, was founded by Lizzie Hayes following the discontinuation of the Mystery Women group.
Mystery People is dedicated to the promotion of crime fiction and in particular to new authors.
But this is not just a writers’ group, for without readers what would writers do?
What we aim to do
- To provide an informative site for both readers and writers.
- To arrange events, book signings and promote the many exciting crime authors emerging today.
- To produce a regular e-zine with news, interviews and reviews of new and forthcoming publications.
- To promote the genre of crime fiction, giving extra attention to our member writers.
